Privacy Policy
VPN Guru is operated by WorksDelight ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never collect. In short: we do not log your browsing, your traffic, or the websites and apps you use.
What we never collect
- The websites you visit, the apps you use, or the content of your traffic.
- DNS queries you make while connected.
- Your original IP address linked to your browsing activity.
What we do collect, and why
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| A random account ID (created on first launch; no name or email needed) | To run your account and subscription | Until you delete your account |
| Sign in with Apple identifier (only if you choose to sign in with Apple) | To let you use your subscription on other devices | Until you delete your account |
| Email address (only if you choose to sign in with email) | To send you one-time sign-in codes and identify your account. No newsletters or marketing. | Until you delete your account; sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes |
| Device name and platform (e.g. "iPhone", iOS) | To show your devices and enforce the 5-device limit | Until you remove the device or delete your account |
| Subscription status (product, expiry) from Apple via RevenueCat | To know whether Premium is active | Until you delete your account |
| WireGuard keys and an internal VPN address for each device | Required to create your encrypted connection | Until you remove the device or delete your account |
| Time of each device's most recent connection, and which server it uses | Showing your devices, server load balancing | Overwritten on every connection; deleted with the device |
| Anonymous app usage counts (e.g. "paywall shown", "connected", chosen country), via TelemetryDeck | Understanding which screens and features work, to improve the app | Aggregated; not linked to your account, email or IP address |
Our servers use IP addresses only in real time, to carry your connection and to block abuse such as repeated failed sign-ins. We do not store them.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions; it receives your random account ID and purchase information from Apple.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your data and do not use it for advertising. Service providers that help us run VPN Guru: Apple (payments, Sign in with Apple), RevenueCat (subscription management), Resend (sending sign-in code emails), TelemetryDeck (anonymous usage counts), OVHcloud (server hosting, Canada) and Cloudflare (domain/DNS). They process data only to provide their service to us.
If we receive a valid legal order, we can only provide what we hold (listed above). Because we keep no traffic or browsing logs, we cannot connect activity to a user.
Security
Connections use WireGuard® encryption. Our API uses TLS 1.3. Servers are hardened and access is restricted. VPN users are isolated from each other and from our internal systems.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account any time in the app (Menu → My Account → Delete account, once signed in). This removes your account, devices and VPN keys. Cancel an App Store subscription separately in your Apple ID settings.
- Ask for a copy or deletion of your data at privacy@vpnguru.app. Depending on where you live (for example Canada's PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, the EU/UK GDPR, or California's CCPA), you may have additional rights; we will honour them.
Children
VPN Guru is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the effective date. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
